New to these forums, but not new to Gilad's workouts.
I started working out with Gilad's "Bodies In Motion" show back in the late 80's. I was always in great shape...never had any weight issue, of course it was easy...I was in high school and active.
Then fast forward 10 years later, I found myself in a bad relationship and emotional eating became my new bad habit. I also stopped working out and managed to gain about 60 lbs. Oy vey.
To make a long story short....I eventually ended that bad relationship... started a new life and went back to my healthy habits. I lost 50 lbs. on my own, by ridding myself of my emotional eating and working out again to my DVDs. I started out with Denise Austin stuff, then worked my way to Jillian Michaels, Karen Voight and of course, Gilad.
Since then, I've hit a plateau and I can't seem to shake off those last 10-15 lbs. I continue to workout to my DVDs and I record and exercise along with Gilad's Total Body Sculpt show on FitTV.
I'm thinking about getting one of Gilad's workout systems to add to my collection. I participated in the online Live Chat this past Friday and Gilad suggested I try the Ultimate Body Sculpt series. I'm wondering about the Quick Fit system though. Eh...can't make up my mind.
Going to Hawaii with my boyfriend next month, and I hope we get a chance to meet Gilad in person. That would be awesome. I'd take pictures and of course ask him for tips. Maybe he can show me if my form is good and show me how I can get past this stubborn plateau.
During the live chat, I asked Gilad about what his sister, Ada has been up to. I used to workout to her Basic Training show too. He told me that she has an exercise studio in Encino. What a coincidence! I'm not very far, so today, I checked it out. It was closed, but I grabbed one of her exercise class schedules. Looks like she teaches some herself. Cool. I'm going to try one out....it will probably kick my butt though. Should be interesting. |

Hi! Welcome to the site. I was at the chat on Friday too. I hope you do get to meet Gilad when you go to Hawaii. Let us know if you do and share pictures. That would be great. I would love to workout with him in person also.
I have the QFS and the Ultimate Body Sculpt series. I like them both. The QFS has three cardio dvds and a body sculpting dvd. The body sculpting dvd has these workouts: a hips, thighs and buns, an abs, shoulders and arms, and chest and back workout. The hips, thighs and buns and abs are very good workouts! The chest and back and shoulders and arms uses dumbbells and are good too. The QFS also comes with an eating plan, a progress journal, and a workout schedule. It is really good.
The Ultimate Body Sculpt Series are more advanced workouts than the QFS and are great. They incorporate cardio and sculpting. They are great workouts, especially if you are in pretty good shape already.
So whatever you decide, they are both great.
Good luck in dropping those last 10-15 pounds and with meeting Gilad. I told my husband that if we ever went to Hawaii, we would have to go see Gilad. |

Thanks for the welcome!
I ended up ordering the Ultimate Body Sculpt series as Gilad suggested.
Just got an email saying it was shipped. Can't wait to try it.
Also, I emailed Gilad's office and got a response. I'm supposed to call when I get to Honolulu next month, and they're going to set up a time to meet with Gilad.
I have to remember to take my camera!! |

My name is Maria. I am not new to Giald exercises, but new to the forum
I am 54 yr. old and I am having a heck of time losing weight.
My main problems is I have a pouch in the lower abs area and butt and hips and thighs.
Will that pouch ever go away?
I need some assisance.
My workout is I do walk/jog on the Treadmill 3-4 days a week for about 50 minuts and then I do about 15-30 minuts of Gilad floor exercises. The progress seems to be very slow if any at all. I alos have started to log my food intake, limiting 1200-1300 calores a day.
what can I do to speed this process?
Thank you

I admire you ~~ ending the draining relationship and then deciding to drop the weight. That is fantastic!
Would LOVE to do a class at Ada's place. I enjoy the Basic Training workouts so much. Please let me know how it goes if you are able to take a class there! That is on my list of things to do whenever I next travel to California. _________________ One Step at a Time ~~ Ever Onward |

Maria, this seems like a good question for Gilad to answer. Come to the next chat on August 7 and I'll bet Gilad would have some good advice for you. |
