You know you will feel better once you get back to working out. Do the week one schedule if you have to. It will kick in pretty fast once you start. Winter sucks. We are getting so much rain here. Even when it is warm it is too muddy to go out and do anything fun. I need to go shoot that dumb ground hog too. Well I now am finished Week 12. I now weight 225.5 lbs. I have lost 35 lbs. and 38" according to the QFS measurement chart. Ihave sent my before and after photos in and you can see them if you want at my home page. Link is below. I am working on it now so if you don't see them check back a little later.
I am starting another round of 12 weeks tomorrow. I have changed my goal to loose 120 to 128(because that is my son's weight). You have to also know that I lost 20 lbs. before I started QFS. I was doing Bodies in Motion 5 days a week and riding an exercise bike. So my total loss is 55 lbs.
Well I am dying to go buy new pants and tops, but I will restrain myself until the income tax check comes in. Even then I will only buy a few since they will be too small within a month. I am wearing the one new pair I bought and don't want to take them off. They feel so good. I keep stopping by all the mirrors in my house and looking at myself. I am just stunned. I really can't believe it. Now I don't have to avoid mirrors.
I my other goal for the next 12 weeks is to break 200. I know my losses may slow down, but I decide to be optimistic for a change. I like what QFS is not only doing for my body, but how it has made me healthier and much more happy. I also hope to be able to do the real 16 push ups by the end of the 12 weeks.
Peace and Happiness

I have to update my clothing sizes. I thought fitting into my 20s was exciting on Saturday, but I found my measurments should fit into my 18s and to my surprise the fit perfectly. So in 12 weeks I went from a size 28 to a size 18. I dropped 5 sizes. I really can't believee this. _________________ “I am that which must always overcome itself.” ~Friedrich Nietzsche http://www.geocities.com/debyduz/diet.html |

I was doing so well with Gilad the first two weeks but since the scale showed no weight loss, I fell off the wagon.
I am on Weight Watchers but do eat mostly green and yellow anyway. I love my coffee and cannot give it up, besides with 7 children I need it.
I homeschool during the day and find myself munching in between meals, probably not a good idea.
I have always loved working out and do enjoy my time everyday with
Gilad.
I am trying to get back on the stick again after my 4 day binge, the scale shows up 5 pounds. I guess I was on the right track after all even though I was not losing.
It really helps to read about how you are all accomplishing so much. It also helps to hear about some who are having trouble like me.
I feel like I have been dieting all my life and not getting very far.
Signed,
Discouraged |

I try not to look at it as a diet. If I want to lose all this extra fat I carry I have to change my lifestyle. If you follow weight watchers you can adapt that to QFS it is basically the same plan you just change the types of carbs and when you eat them.
I run a home daycare so I understand having all those kids around. I used to always grab little snacks because it was easy. Now I eat the big QFS breakfast and I am not hungry until lunch. I prepare 2 meals and 3 snacks for them. I have slowly switched in some more healthy foods for them. the truth is they enjoy the healthy food much more.
Most of my food is prepared in big batches and frozen. That way I can still cook for others and I just pick what I want and microwave it. I also make a huge salad everyday. The kids are nearby and they learn colors and numbers while I make it. They also try a few new veggie which doesn't hurt.
When we do oatmeal. I make a big batch of plain and everyone picks out what they want to add, raisins, fresh fruit, nuts a spoon full of raw sugar and some cinnamon. They enjoy having control over what they eat. They can express their individuality and they eat better when they know what is in their food. One little girl loves strawberry milk that she gets at home. We don't do that here. My daughter loves strawberries but the little girl would never eat them. Monday my daughter wanted a bowl of strawberreis and the little girl tried them again. She ran around all day singing I love strawberry milk and eating strawberries.
Please don't put all your hope in the scale. You can be gaining muscle and still be losing fat.
Get a calculator and start adding those little snacks up. Just 10 extra calories a day adds up to 1 pound over a year. That is a pound you are preventing yourself from losing or it could be a pound you are gaining. I know once you have one snack it is so easy to lose track and stop counting all the trespasses.
For the record I didn't lose any weight this week after 14 weeks of losing anywear from 1/2 lb to 6.5 lbs. each week. I am still pushing on and will not let one week get me down. I know I ate only what I was supposed to and did all my exercises.

Well here I am in week 16 I didn't lose weight the week before last and I gained 1.5 pounds last week. I hurt my back from standing all weekend volunteering and I missed 3 days of exercise from the pain. Well instead of throwing in the towel I kept eating healthy. Did a workout as soon as I felt better and then went back to Phase 3 of the exercise schedule. Seems I was holding a lot of water and that is gone. So I actually lost 2 pounds. Stuff happens and life doesn't always go the way you want. You have to make the best of any situation. My back is still a little sore so I am not going to push it. I am staying in Phase 3 until the pain is all gone and then working my way up again.
My son had his 13 birthday so I planned a piece of cake into my menu and I saved food the day we went out to dinner so I could eat them at the restuarant. I had a total of 2 reds and one yellow for the whole weekend. It did not trigger me to go on a binge. It was a nice treat, but I like eating the healthy food better. I did get a little indigestion.
I have control over what I put into my body. That is the most valuable lesson I have learned from QFS.
No if I could only control the rest of the world

Deb, I am really impressed. I've read all your posts. You're great and so motivating
I started my QFS yesterday (Tuesday). I made Cardio Classic and ABS I had some problem with co-ordination and with following some moves during Cardio, but it always was like that I am not a dancer and sometimes I find it difficult to keep up with all moves.
I've eaten mostly green (only low-fat 3% cottage cheese I clasified as yellow). There is no problem for me to eat green and a little bit of yellow and avoid red I like fresh vegs and fruits and low fat meat. I always eat like that. The problem is that I like mayonnaise and pasta of all kind (from durum semolina and not this full grain horrible something) this is what I will miss most. I was surprised that my favourite red wine is yellow one I don't like sweet drinks and all those sweets and cakes (good for me).
So... I hope to see the results and I will write about them next week
Regards and thanks

Well make small steps. Make a list of foods that you eat that are bad and then change them one at a time. I made my changes so fast because they made me feel so good. I may miss some off those foods, but how I feel makes up for it. _________________ “I am that which must always overcome itself.” ~Friedrich Nietzsche http://www.geocities.com/debyduz/diet.html |
